The white horse is the first of four representational paintings depicting the apocalyptic horses as they are represented in the decline and fall of the Roman Empire as well as Revelations. The white color signifies triumph, prosperity, and health. It is followed by the red horse (civil war), the black horse (famine), and the pale horse (death). This series of paintings is intended to examine the scope and range of concepts in my artistic processes as I strive to develop objects that contain both contemporary and traditional approaches to imagery and thought in content.
